About Department

District Enforcement Branch (DEB), Jhargram District Police consist of 01 Dy.SP, 01 Inspector of Police, 01 SI of Police, 04 Constables and 02 NVFs. DEB Jhargram, does cases under Essential Commodities Act, 1955 following violation of Control Orders. It also investigates cases under Copy Right Act, 1957, Trade Marks Act, 1999, Wild Life Protection Act, 1972 etc.

Further, it investigates Cheating, Forgery and cases of Economics offences. Pollution related matters are also dealt by DEB. It liaises with Food and Supplies Department and enforces cases relating to Public Distribution System. Food safety matters are also dealt by this unit.
